Delilah Buitrón Arrebola

Delilah is a native Texan from Laredo and received her B A in Theatre and Television Communications from the illustrious Hofstra University in New York Upon graduation, Delilah moved to Spain where she studied classical Spanish dance and flamenco at the Isabel Quintero Conservatory, as well as at the internationally acclaimed Amor de Dios school of Flamenco� Delilah has since performed in Mexico City’s production and tour of Carmen, The Dallas Opera’s production of La Vida Breve under the direction of María Benítez, as well as portrayed the Cuban Salsa Legend “La Lupe” in Martice Enterprises’ musical production of La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny Other Dallas theater credits include her portrayal of Gerarda in the production of La Discreta Enamorada by Southern Methodist University, Shakespeare Dallas’ musical production of A Midsummers Night’s Dream and As You Like It She performed in the Ochre House productions Ex Voto: The Immaculate Conceptions of Frida Kahlo, MEAN, and Cicerone and was featured in the Dallas Flamenco Festival and Ochre House Theater’s productions of Perro y Sangre, El Conde Drácula, Buñuel Descending and Picasso: Matador de Málaga� Delilah was a recipient of a 2013 Dallas Observer Mastermind Award for excellence in artistic endeavors and is the Artistic Director and a Founder of The Flame Foundation She is also an instructor for The Flame Foundation with a focus on children, seniors, and people with special needs

Matthew Posey

Matthew is the Artistic Director and Founder of Ochre House Theater, where he has written and directed over 50 plays� His acting career spans over 40 years of stage, film and television work Highlights include Lonesome Dove, No Country for Old Men, and recurring roles in the HBO miniseries Love & Death and AMC’s series The Son He can be seen in the remake of The Magnificent Seven directed by Antoine Fuqua and also in the upcoming Netflix series, Brothers� Soon to be released into film festivals nationwide is Josh David Jordan’s film El Tonto Por Cristo where Matthew plays the titular role� He was twice recognized as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in This World Won’t Break� Since 2012, Matthew and Ochre House Theater have been honored to collaborate with The Flame Foundation and

the Dallas Flamenco Festival creating original, world premiere Flamenco plays� These collaborations are a highlight of Matthew’s work as an artist�

Antonio Arrebola

Antonio was born in Málaga, Spain in 1981 and began dancing at the age of eight He began his dance studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza in Málaga, where he was trained in flamenco, ballet, and classical Spanish dance, studying with Susana Lupiañez, Ricardo Caña, and Valentina Letova Antonio has been dancing professionally since the age of 15 He performed in many prominent tablaos in Andalucía, such as the renowned Christina Hoyos Flamenco Museum� Antonio has also been recognized on the international scene, elating audiences in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Italy, Morocco, Canada, Japan, and the United States� He also worked with the Maria Serrano Company in the production Flamentango in Canada, and has toured in Europe with his own company He headlined the Dallas Flamenco Festival in 2010, 2012, and 2013, and was featured in the Dallas Flamenco Festival and Ochre House Theater’s productions of Perro y Sangre, El Conde Drácula, Buñuel Descending, Picasso: Matador de Málaga , and La Muerte de Don Quixote� He is Director of Choreography for The Flame Foundation and founded and teaches for Flamenco DNA� Additionally, he is an instructor for The Flame Foundation with a focus on children, seniors, and people with special needs

Juani de la Isla

Juani de la Isla is a highly respected flamenco guitarist, from the island of San Fernando, Spain� He began his musical education studying with the great flamenco singer Rafael Romero and was a student of the celebrated flamenco guitarist Manolo Sanlúcar� Juani de la Isla also trained in the Gypsy flamenco style of Morón, a small town in the heart of Andalucia’s flamenco country

During his career, he has accompanied some of the finest flamenco artists of our time, including singers José Mercé, Chato de la Isla, and Aguilar de Vejer, and dancers Javier Barón, Sara Baras and Manuela Carrasco He has composed music for the flamenco dance company of Cristina Hoyos and was Musical Director for the popular flamenco singer El Barrio for more than a decade�

Juani de la Isla’s recording career includes participation on more than 100 albums with some of Spain’s finest flamenco artists: among them Jose

Mercé, Joaquin Sabína, Paco Ortega, El Barrio and David de María In 2015, he released his first solo CD Libertad En Mis Manos� He was recently nominated for his music composition for the production Un Mundo Sin Tiempo in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Music at the Isadora Duncan “Izzie” Awards� Today, Juani de la Isla collaborates with numerous organizations in the U S A and around the world

Francisco “Yiyi” Javier Orozco

Francisco Orozco “Yiyi” is a singer and percussionist from an Andalusian family, born in Barcelona, and was introduced to flamenco rhythms at the age of four� Yiyi was trained by his father Joselón de Jerez, who was a flamenco singer, in his Spanish peña named Peña Fosforito� Considered a child prodigy of percussion, Yiyi began his professional career when he was 12 years old By age 17 and after recording a music album, he became more involved with singing, particularly for dancers, and left Spain to work in Germany on a long-term contract with the company Flamenco Rubio Since that time, he has performed in Europe and Japan with Compañia Flamenca Alhama, with the internationally-renowned American company of María Benitez Teatro Flamenco, with Domingo Ortega in Venezuela, with the José Greco II Flamenco Dance Company in the United States and Taiwan, with world-class guitarist Serranito, as well as in the important flamenco tablao Casa Patas in Madrid Critics worldwide, have touted Yiyi’s performance as “fiery,” and “riveting ” They say his percussion techniques are executed with “machine-gun speed” that possesses and “casts a spell ”

José Cortés Fernández

José Cortés Fernández was born in the south of France in 1974 to an important Gypsy family from Almería, Spain� At the age of ten, José began his career in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, where he won the important award called the Premio del Joven Aficionado del Cante Flamenco, accompanied on guitar by Fernando Terremoto (Hijo) He was immersed in the world of flamenco with the greatest artists, such as Terremoto, Pansequito, Camarón de la Isla, Moraito Chico and Tomatito Since then, he has shared the stage with the best artists, including Belén López, Alfonso Losa, Jesus Carmona, Belén Maya, and María Juncal� José was invited to perform as back-up singer for Antonio Carmona of the group Ketama, and he sang in the production of Giselle by the San Francisco Opera� Since 2014, José has worked with the Aspen Ballet Juan Siddi Company, touring Hawaii, New Mexico, and New York

Joel Cortez

Joel Cortez was born and raised in Dallas, Texas He graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Joel began dancing at Freestyle Dance Studio under the direction of Jay and Stephanie Hall� There he learned ballet, Luigi jazz, and tap� His dance training with The Ballet Folklórico Hispano de Dallas, under the direction of Manuel and Guadalupe Godinez, Mountain View College Dance, and Brookhaven College Dance, also built the foundation for his numerous folklórico dance competition awards including the award for Best Male Folklórico Dancer at the Texas National Folklórico Dance Competition Joel has also worked with renowned Folklórico artists such as Sylvia Lozano of the Ballet Folklórico Nacional de Mexico Aztlan, where he was featured in the company’s dance instructional video, Mexican Folklórico Dance, that is internationally recognized� In 2017-2018, Joel was a company member of The Terrance M� Johnson Dance Project second season� Joel is in the dance documentary Moving Cities Dallas that was filmed in 2015 In the spring of 2018, Joel completed an independent dance study in the state of Utah He explored various dance genres from Ballet West, Repertory Dance Theatre, and Tablado Flamenco Company In Fall of 2019, Joel was a company member of 6 o’clock Dance Theatre� In 2019 and currently, he began performing as a guest artist for The Nutcracker and other productions for Dance Institute of Dallas� Joel teaches Ballet/ Folklórico/Modern/Somatics at Texas Youth Ballet� Joel is currently a company member with Flamenco Black under the direction of Antonio and Delilah Arrebola He is a regular guest artist for Collin County Ballet under the direction of Kirt and Linda Hathaway

Fernando Hernandez

Fernando Hernandez is a professional dancer, choreographer, and costume designer� He earned a Bachelor in Architecture degree from the Universidad Regiomontana in Monterrey, Mexico� At the age of six, he discovered his love for dance and later was accepted by Centro de Educación Artística Alfonso Reyes, a performance and visual arts high school in Monterrey, Mexico, where he explored ballet, contemporary, and flamenco dance genres Later in the same city, at Escuela Superior de Música y Danza INBA, he studied classical ballet as a professional dancer and performed with the Ballet of Monterrey under assistant direction of Fernando Bujones� He later joined the cast of dancers for singer Paulina Rubio and the musical Beauty and the Beast in Mexico City As instructor of dance and choreog -

rapher, Fernando worked at Colegio Labastida in Monterrey, as assistant Master of Dance at the Monterrey Technology Institute, and in the Dallas Children’s Theater production of Yanna Wana, the Legend of the Blue Bonnet� He has since worked with folk companies, including Ensemble Folklórico Mexicano, Anita N� Martinez Ballet Folklórico in Dallas, Ballet Folklórico Azteca of Fort Worth, and the Orchestra of the New Spain, Dallas, for which he worked as choreographer and dancer

In 1999, he was invited to become the Director, Choreographer and part time director for LunaSol Folklórico Ballet at the Booker T� Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Dallas, where he currently serves as their special guest choreographer for the international dance class

Aamir Merani

Aamir Merani is a dancer, DJ, and actor, born and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth� His work includes appearances and featured choreography in music videos of world-renowned South Asian artists, including Mickey Singh’s I Am Urban Desi and Jaz Dhami’s Aitvaar� As a dancer with training in Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Garba, Raas, and Bhangra, he delights and specializes in blending styles and genres As a professional DJ and emcee he has performed at over 300 private events Notable acting credits include All In Good Time at the Lewisville Grand Theater and Suburbia at the University of Texas at Dallas University Theater, though he also practices his storytelling in front of and behind the camera� His short films, sketches and dance videos on YouTube have amassed over four million views worldwide

Rudy Lopez

Rudy Lopez is a Mexican-American stage, voice-over, film, and television actor and director based in Dallas, TX, who has worked for major national brands On stage, his most recent acting credits include Castor in Libro de Los Sueños Olvidados, Touchstone in As You Like It at Shakespeare LIVE, Telemachus in The Odyssey at Shakespeare Dallas, Landscaper in Native Gardens at Dallas Theater Center, and Ensemble in The Butterfly’s Evil Spell with Theatre Three� He is a Crunchyroll voice actor and can be heard in popular anime series, such as One Piece, Solo Leveling, Twilight Out Of Focus, and The Apothecary Diaries

Daniel Negrete

Daniel Negrete is originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas His passion for dance began with Ballet Folklórico and has since expanded to include flamenco, ballet, modern, postmodern and a variety of Latin and African dance forms�

Daniel performed and choreographed for CholoRock Dance Collective and the International Dance Company at Texas Woman’s University, for which he also served as student director� He joined the cast of Flamenco Black, a company that showcases the Afro-Andalusian roots and Black history of flamenco dance � Daniel has extensive experience with high school drill teams and university programs in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex His growing repertoire reflects a strong interest in the fusion of dance genres, cultures, and choreographic techniques, which informs his pedagogical approach

Daniel served as a board member for the Texas Dance Educators’ Association and is a co-founder of the North Texas Ballet Folklórico Contest Currently, he works as a dance director for the Dallas Independent School District, serves as a dance curriculum writer, performs with Alegre Ballet Folklórico, and is a board advisor for the Texas Association for Dance and Culture�

Julie Galle Baggenstoss

Flamenco dancer Julie Galle Baggenstoss is the director of Berdolé Flamenco Management and Production She has produced flamenco programming across the U S A , since 2004, partnering with local presenters to bring some of the most important artists to American audiences, including the companies of Manuel Liñán, Alfonso Losa, María del Mar Moreno, EntreFlamenco, and Juan Paredes � She has performed and choreographed flamenco with the Atlanta Opera, The Home Depot, Coca-Cola, Visa, and at universities and museums from the Southeast to the Midwest� She is a member of the dance program faculty at Emory University where she teaches flamenco as part of the university curriculum Julie is a former instructor of the Atlanta Ballet, and works as a teaching artist for the Fulton County Schools Teaching Museum in Atlanta and ArtsNOW, based in Georgia and South Carolina Julie is a published scholar in flamenco history, having presented research at universities in Spain, Mexico, and the U � S � A �
