As the administrator for all charitable contributions to Atrium Health in the greater Charlotte region, we collaborate with donors interested in supporting the work of our physicians, nurses, research scientists, educators, and other talented healthcare providers. In December 2022, Atrium Health became part of Advocate Health, now the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the nation. Atrium Health’s diverse network of more than 900 care locations includes academic medical centers, hospitals, physician practices, surgical and rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, nursing homes, and hospice care. Philanthropy has been the driving force behind Atrium Health, moving it forward as it has evolved from a community hospital in Charlotte in 1940, to one of the country’s largest health systems spanning multiple states. From 2010 to 2030, Atrium Health’s 14-county core market expects a population increase of 620,000. With that growth comes the opportunity for us to transform the health of our region.
