HISTORY OF HOME UPDATES The house was remodeled initially in 1917, again in 1989, the early 2000s and 2016. Originally 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, now 7 bedrooms, 5 full and 2 half baths. A two-story addition on the back of the house added a family room and expanded primary suite. A dig out of the basement added a nanny suite, media room, workout and recreation room. The build out of attic added 2 bedrooms and a spectacular bath.

LETTER FROM HOMEOWNER

Certainly the first thing we fell in love with was the proximity to the lake. Seeing the beautiful views, hearing the waves while lying in bed, or sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee or glass of wine are all incredibly restorative. We were amazed at the number of people that drive by the lake just for a quick “check in” on a regular basis - and love that we get to do that all day, every day! Another wonderful thing about this house is how easy it “lives”. It is a really great family home - lots of warmth, but also plenty of room to spread out. Our children love having friends here, and there are so many great places to do that - by the fire pit or in the hot tub outside, watching movies in the basement, hanging out in the coach house, or chilling in our daughter’s third floor retreat or son’s sleeping porch / “video game den" . We also love being in the heart of the community while still having great privacy. It’s great stepping outside the study onto the front porch with a

laptop to get some work done and seeing the families and adorable preschool classes headed down to the beach. (Proximity to the beach has other advantages - our daughter worked there for 2 summers, and it was the best commute ever! Ten minutes from rolling out of bed to being at work, plus lunch delivery by mom - hard to beat that.) This is a very worry-free house that has great “energy” - that’s been reiterated by many others staying or working here. (Adding in a whole house generator only reinforced the worry-free aspect.) We were also fortunate that the previous owners spared no expense in restoring and remodeling this amazing historic home. When doing our own basement renovation and deck install we uncovered no “surprises” - always a concern with an older home that we were happy to alleviate. We know that you’ll love hosting celebrations here - large or small - as much as we have. Whether it’s cocktails to watch the 4th of July fireworks over the lake, an evening beach walk with girlfriends, or dinner parties for 12 to 24 (the parlor makes an excellent dining room annex - or, more recently, the gazebo porch!), this house makes it so easy to enjoy all that Kenilworth has to offer.
