AICO FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HELPS TO SAVE RESIDENT IN HOUSE FIRE This devastating image shows the aftermath of a recent house fire at a Melville Housing Association property and underscores the vital importance of fire and carbon monoxide protection at home. The fire started after a lighter was left on the bed, with it moving through the upstairs rooms and activating the Aico 3000 Series alarms. Thankfully, the alarm sounds were heard by quick-thinking neighbours, who were able to alert the residents so they could evacuate safely. Due to the AudioLINK+ function of the fitted Aico alarms, the landlord was able to review a range of vital data after the incident, showing a peak temperature of 102°C and a CO level of 450ppm within the home. Aico’s Relationship Manager, Rory Fraser, was shocked by the extensive damage to the property when he visited with MHA to retrieve data from the still-operational Aico alarms. This incident is a powerful example of Aico’s unwavering commitment to developing life-saving products that deliver when it matters most.
