Houseplants 101

Introduction to Aquatic Plants

Photography in the Garden

Learn to put the right plant in the right place with this introduction to plants for your home. Discussions will cover traditional houseplants, unusual plants and outdoor plants to consider bringing inside. Examinations of typical home environments will look at light, temperature and humidity. Drop-In Kids Gardening Activity Join us for a kid-friendly gardening activity such as seed planting, watering, or harvesting. Schedule Wednesdays, March – Oct. 10 – 11 a.m.

Walking Tour: Horticulture Favorites

Pollinator Walking Tour

Walk the garden with one of our talented horticulturists, and discover “what’s in bloom” during this educational and informative tour. This is a weather dependent tour and is subject to change. Take a walk on the wild side to see the garden’s pollinators! This class will focus on pollinator identification, as well as their benefits and relationships with flowering plants, particularly those native to North America. Blooms in Mixed Media: Working with Watercolors, Graphite and Acrylic on Toned Paper Capture bouquets of flowers and all their colors, shapes and textures. Garden Magic Summer Camp Greenhouse Tour Come take a behind-the-scenes tour of our 3-acre greenhouse and nursery facilities! Our private greenhouse was the first structure built on the Gainesville property in 2004, and is still supplying plant materials to both the Gainesville and Atlanta gardens.
