Internships and study abroad programs provide students with experiences they cannot get in the classroom. Internships provide on-the-job training, applying concepts and theories to real-world scenarios. Study abroad opportunities give students ﬁrsthand exposure to new perspectives and cultures, preparing them as globally informed citizens.

For example, the Capital Scholars program at the School of Politics and Global Studies connects students with summer internships at government agencies in Washington, D.C., helping them experience, understand and appreciate the American political process.

Through career counseling, internship and research scholarships and adaptable new programs, the Futures Center will help all of our over 30,000 students become strong candidates in the job market.
