HARA RUBBER BASE:

MORE THAN A BASE COAT, LESS THAN A BUILDER GEL.

Not every client arrives with the perfect natural canvas. Weak, brittle, flaky, or naturally flexible nails can present a real challenge when it comes to achieving long-lasting professional results. That’s where HARA Rubber Base comes into its own.

Designed specifically for nails that require extra reinforcement without excessive rigidity, HARA Rubber Base is a flexible, medium-viscosity base coat that works with the natural nail rather than against it. Its thicker consistency helps absorb impact and movement, reducing the risk of breakage, lifting, and premature service breakdown.

Its versatility makes it a valuable addition to any professional nail kit. HARA Rubber Base can be used beneath gel polish as a strengthening foundation to improve durability, or underneath builder gel to introduce a layer of flexibility between the natural nail and the enhancement product. This added flexibility helps absorb movement from the natural nail, improving overall retention and reducing the likelihood of lifting or service breakdown.

How to use HARA Rubber Base

Achieving optimal retention starts with correct preparation and application.

1 Prepare the natural nail

Remove any existing product, refine the cuticle area, lightly etch the nail plate to remove shine, then cleanse with HARA Gel Polish Prepare & Complete.

2 Prime for adhesion

Apply HARA Ultra Bond Primer sparingly in a scrubbing motion to enhance adhesion and retention. Leave to air dry, no curing required.

3 Apply the base layer

Apply a thin layer of HARA Rubber Base in a scrubbing motion, leaving approximately a 1mm gap from the cuticle to avoid flooding the skin. Cure for 60 seconds in the HARA Pro UV/LED Nail Lamp.

Create subtle structure (if required)

If the natural nail requires additional strength or slight structure, HARA Rubber Base can be used to create a soft, supportive apex.

Begin by applying a thin slip layer of HARA Rubber Base and leave uncured. Place a small bead of product through the apex area, gently guiding it towards the cuticle before working the product down the nail using controlled side-to-side motions.

Keep the majority of the product concentrated through the centre of the nail to create balanced reinforcement while maintaining flexibility. Use the HARA Pro Liner Brush to guide the product close to the cuticle area and sidewalls without touching the skin.

Once happy with the placement, allow a few seconds for the formula to self-level, then cure for 60 seconds in the HARA Pro UV/LED Nail Lamp.

HARA Rubber Base is designed to create slight structure and reinforcement. If the client requires significant structure, added strength, or a more defined apex, we recommend upgrading to HARA Builder Gel.
