Page 1

About Us

Aspire empowers limited-income and first-generation university students to reach their full potential.

What We Do

Develop Skills for the Future: We equip learners with the core leadership and workplace skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex, technology-enabled world.

Foster a Global Community: Aspire builds peer networks spanning 195 countries, fostering belonging and connection among underrepresented young leaders.

Local Impact, Global Mindset: Aspire Institute strengthens local ecosystems through regional hubs and partnerships, bringing global perspectives to learners’ own contexts.

Promote Lifelong Learning: We provide ongoing opportunities for growth, such as mentorship, financial awards, career pathways, and AI leadership programs.

Turn Ambition into Action: We enable learners to build confidence, find their voice, and lead meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

Above all, we seek to broaden what learners believe is possible for themselves and help them aspire to lives of meaning and impact.

MESSAGE FROM OUR CO-FOUNDERS

We founded Aspire four years ago with a simple conviction: that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Every day, millions of young people navigate systems that were never built with them in mind. Yet, they carry ambition, resilience, and curiosity that — if nurtured — can transform not only their own lives, but also their families, communities, and economies. Aspire was created to unlock this possibility at scale.

Over these four years, we have learned that when you remove barriers to opportunity for limited-income, first-generation youth, you do far more than deliver a program — you create a catalyst. You spark the moment in which a learner begins to see themselves

differently, connects with peers from across the world, and gains access to spaces they were previously shut out from. With this shift comes agency, confidence, and an ability to imagine a future that once felt out of reach.

This is what Aspire makes possible: a world where a young person in Lagos can learn alongside a peer in Lahore; where a first-generation learner in Bolivia can launch a project to serve their community; where a college student in rural India can receive mentorship from leading experts; where the power of a global community becomes a lifelong resource. When these individual transformations multiply across hundreds of thousands of learners, they form a collective force

for economic mobility and impact. Today, the need is more urgent than ever: nearly half a billion young people worldwide have the potential to create change, yet lack the resources and networks to realize it. At Aspire, we’ve been humbled by what becomes possible when such individuals are supported with the right tools and opportunities. It is their progress that drives us forward as we strive to reach millions more.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

2025 was a year of innovation and impact for Aspire. We received over 250,000 applications from more than 195 countries, continued to grow our alumni community, and launched our brand new AI-Integrated Leadership Program. Since our founding, we’ve now served over 500,000 learners from every corner of the globe, creating the world’s largest network of first-generation student leaders.

Our work in 2025 would not have been possible without the people at Aspire and their deep commitment to the work that we do. This year,

our teams in Cambridge and across our regional Foundries delivered high-quality programs at unprecedented scale, forged partnerships with employers and universities to strengthen pathways for alumni, and supported our learners through every stage of their Aspire journey. We continued to leverage technology to engage with our community thoughtfully, while remaining lean with our operations and focused on delivering impact.

What made this year particularly meaningful was seeing hundreds of alumni return to Aspire as

volunteers — giving their time to guide new cohorts and strengthening the friendships and connections that remain central to our mission. Our network of mentors generously contributed their expertise and time, and the invaluable support of our donors made it possible for us to keep the program accessible as we scaled.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who made 2025 a successful year, and I am excited about what we’ll accomplish together in the year ahead.

LOOKING BACK AT 2025

In this year’s review, we follow the journey of Braian Song, a 21-yearold first-generation college student from Argentina. Braian’s journey took him from Chaco, one of Argentina’s poorest regions, to Principia College in Illinois, to IE University in Spain, and later to Aspire.

At Aspire, he progressed from our foundational Aspire Leaders Program to launch a community project with seed funding from our organization. Most recently, he took

part in our AI-Integrated Leadership Program. His story shows what becomes possible when firstgeneration students connect with a global community and gain the support they need to pursue their ambitions.

Thank you for helping young people like Braian discover their potential and transform their futures. Read on to learn more about our impact in 2025 and what’s ahead.

BRAIAN’S JOURNEY TO ASPIRE

REACHING LEARNERS AROUND THE WORLD THROUGH CAMPUS NETWORKS, DIGITAL OUTREACH, AND GLOBAL FOUNDRIES

The First-Generation Experience

Born in Brazil and raised in Argentina as the son of South Korean immigrants, Braian grew up navigating education across cultures and systems.

When you grow up like this, you don’t realize the pressure at first — but later, you start to understand how different your background is...

Like millions of first-generation students, Braian had talent, determination, and curiosity, but faced internal and external barriers to opportunity that many of his peers didn’t have to consider.

Discovering Aspire

The program stood out to him immediately. It was accessible, reputable, and designed for students just like him.

Braian came across Aspire while attending Principia College in the United States on a rugby scholarship.

The most important thing was feeling heard. It’s quite difficult for people like me to feel a sense of belonging, or that our stories matter. Aspire gave me that sense of empowerment.

Aspire’s flexible structure allowed him to fit learning in his busy schedule of studies, work, and sport. Most importantly, it gave him a newfound sense of community.

Regional Foundries:

Local staff in Bolivia, Brazil, India, Pakistan, and Türkiye reach learners through in-person events and outreach.

5 Global Foundries

Digital Platforms:

Social media campaigns on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X reach students in 200+ countries, including remote areas.

WORDS FROM THE ASPIRE COMMUNITY

Aspire Mentors

I was pleasantly surprised to see 2,400 students joining from different parts of the world. No matter what their cultural backgrounds, color, gender, ethnicity, economic situations, or education, they all were superpowered with one aspiration: the aspiration to learn significantly and become successful with their earnest endeavours and hard work.

Aspire entrepreneurs gave us valuable insights into how founders learn, where they want support, and what AI tools are most helpful in building their ventures. They created extraordinary value for us, for each other, and for the other founders on the platform. We look forward to advancing the HBS Foundry together and helping committed founders succeed.

We are deeply grateful to be in partnership with an organization that is also supporting young global leaders as they launch their careers. With each mentorship, we are strengthening connections across cultures and borders, and helping to build inclusive workplaces for the future.

Aspire Alumni

This program has helped close a lot of gaps that existed in my career path. Now, I am confident enough that I am on the right path. I have been able to land my first job after this program, and with the leadership training Aspire gave me, I am doing excellent here.

Aspire gave me the validation, backing, and confidence to actually go on and tackle a problem that is ambitious and urgent. Being part of the ELP opened doors with institutions and businesses.

Milko Gonzalez Bolivia

The Aspire program emphasized that good leadership is not just about managing those below you, but also about effectively collaborating with peers and managing relationships with those you report to.

Growing up in a low-income family, I didn’t have role models in the corporate world or people around me who could tell me how to get into leadership, how to find mentors, or even how to believe I deserved to be in those spaces. There were many times in my life when I felt invisible. When I discovered the Aspire Leaders Program, it felt like someone was finally saying, ‘You matter. Your story matters. Your voice matters. You belong here, too.’
