MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT PARTNERS WITH ART WITH A HEART
Senior Capstone Project brings new energy and outreach to Baltimore nonprofit Baltimore, M.D. – Ashton Jordan, a senior Strategic Communication major at Morgan State University, has been collaborating with Art with a Heart since late September as part of her senior capstone project to help amplify the organization’s social media presence. This partnership focuses on introducing fresh, lighthearted content that resonates with a young adult audience while incorporating traditional content, thereby continuing to engage with Art with a Heart’s established audience.
In mid-October, Ashton surveyed Morgan State University students to gather insight into how to shape future social media posts and outreach strategies. She also created and distributed digital materials designed to encourage community members to support Art with a Heart through social media engagement and volunteer participation. These initiatives align with the organization’s goal of increasing online engagement by 20%.
Through this collaboration, Ashton is increasing Art with a Heart’s awareness among young adults. Additionally, she will leverage strategic tactics to promote the upcoming Holiday Open House. “I am glad to contribute to a great organization,” Ashton shared. “I am excited about this project,” Kristina Harlee (HeARTwares store manager & liaison) shared.
