The Heavenly Realm In our last study we discussed the Invisible Spiritual Realm that exists and we concluded that there is more to the Universe than the physical realm we dwell in and perceive. It is obvious that our human notions and boundaries limit our understanding of both the physical and spiritual realms. In this study we are going to focus on Heaven.
What is the ultimate goal of the Christian life? Eternity with God in Heaven. Every second 3 people die, 180 per minute, 11,000 per hour, 250,000 per day, when people die the bible is clear that they go to Heaven or Hell. The reality is everyone will die and go somewhere.
Faith Service Worship Vision There may be times when you find it difficult to reconcile Godâs truth to your own opinion or worldview, Godâs truth is eternal, it does not change, our understanding of the truth does change as we allow God to work in our hearts and minds. These sessions are not about opinion, they are about learning truth, the truth contained in the Bible, together we are going to focus on how we apply Godâs truth, black & white in a grey world. To set godly priorities, grow in Christian character and live according to Godâs standards so that we are a living witness to others.

Sadly, most people in this world believe they are good enough to go to Heaven, however the Bible is clear that many people will not, if you go to any funeral of someone who was not a believer, the vicar or the priest will probably read Psalm 23 - â...and they will dwell in the house of the Lord forever...â as if the assumption is that verse belongs to everybody, when we know that scripture and that promise is for Godâs people who have given their lives to Jesus Christ. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) There may be many religions - there may appear to be many alternatives but the Bible is clear that there is only one way to God, and only one way to Heaven, one, and that way is through faith in Jesus Christ. If you have faith in Jesus as your personal saviour and Lord then there is a great truth for you to trust in, the words of Jesus Himself when He said: âDo not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Fatherâs house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3)
Do you look forward to going to Heaven? How can we be sure there is a Heaven? There are several answers: Humans have always longed for such a place. If you examine any culture in any time period of history, you will find some sort of belief in an afterlife. God would not plant in the soul a universal longing like that without making some provision for it. Man has always felt there was such a place. Like the little boy flying his kite and the kite was out of sight and someone asked him where it was and he pointed up to the sky. They asked him how he knew it was there if he couldnât see it and he said, âI know it is there because I can feel it tug.â We can know in a similar way that there is a Heaven, because we can feel the pull of it, the tug of it in our souls. The most important answer is that God says there is such a place as Heaven. Godâs word is more important, relevant and true than opinion or conjecture of all the philosophers and scientists in all the world. The Bible is full of wonderful promises, one of the most wonderful is: âNo eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love himâ (1 Corinthians 2:9). There are many things we do not know about what heaven will be like, because it is beyond our ability to comprehend. But one thing we can be sure of is that it will fulfil our greatest longings, it will dazzle us with its beauty, it will obliterate our greatest problems with its power and splendour, it will be greater than anything we could imagine or dream, it will be a place where love and joy will reign unspoiled. God is busy preparing all of this for us.
