A Village Witnesses God’s Power

Michael Kham* lives in a communist country, in a quiet village surrounded by hills and rivers. Here, most of the villagers follow Buddhism, and the temple is their center of worship.

Once a monk, 35-year-old Michael became a furniture maker. He was strong and kindhearted, yet alcohol, drugs, and smoking controlled his life. His addictions destroyed his first marriage, and his second wife, though supportive, could not help him escape them. One night, Michael had a terrifying dream of a blood-covered figure. From that moment on, his behavior changed. He acted as if possessed, and none of the temple rituals could bring him peace.

In desperation, Michael’s wife turned to ASAP’s local church planter, Louise Vina.* She and a group of believers prayed for Michael, asking Jesus to set him free. As they prayed, the evil spirit left him. Overwhelmed, Michael cried, “Pray for me, and I will submit myself to God.”

From that day forward, everything changed. Michael and his wife began studying the Bible with Louise, and they began attending church faithfully. This year, Michael was baptized. Now, when people in his village, curious about his transformation ask how he was healed, he boldly declares as a witness to all, “Jesus healed me.”

Thank you for your gifts that made it possible for Michael to find freedom in Jesus, and thank you for helping bring the miracle of the gospel to unreached villages.

E No longer demon-possessed, Michael has a new life in Jesus!

Harvest of Joy in Cambodia

After a long day of travel, I finally arrived at ASAP’s Takong Adventist School in Cambodia late Friday afternoon. The moment I stepped out of the van, I was surrounded by children with bright, eager smiles. I had heard about this school through my work with ASAP Ministries, but being there in person was unforgettable.

The true blessing came the next day, on the Sabbath. Fifty-five people, mostly students and their family members, were baptized. Excitement filled the air as the children received their baptismal robes. Their joy was contagious. After the church service, everyone gathered in the courtyard as the candidates lined up next to the outdoor baptistery to wait their turn to be baptized.

Near the end, I noticed an elderly woman being helped by teenage boys. She had suffered a stroke and could not

A Well Brings New Life

The sounds of laughter and splashing water fill the air in Ta Ton,* a remote village in Myanmar. Women and children gather eagerly around their new well, freed at last from long, exhausting walks to fetch water. What

walk. Gently, the boys lifted her into the water. I will never forget the joy on her face as she rose from baptism.

Takong Adventist School is much more than just a place of education—it is a place where the lives of teachers, students, parents, and grandparents are being transformed for eternity!

once seemed impossible is now reality, thanks to your generosity.

Life in Ta Ton was once very hard, especially for the local ASAP mission school. During the hottest months, shallow wells dried up, forcing teachers and students to walk up to 10 miles daily for water. Dehydration and exhaustion were common, and waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid affected many.

But your gifts, combined with those of the local church and villagers, brought a deep artesian well to the school grounds. Unlike shallow wells, it draws from a pressurized underground source, providing clean, reliable water all year long.

Now, students can focus on learning, families are healthier, and the school has become a place of hope. People from nearby villages are moving closer, not only for clean water, but also to find Jesus, the Living Water!

On behalf of ASAP Ministries and the people of Ta Ton, thank you. You have given more than water. You have given life, health, and hope.

An Unexpected Trip to Jesus Land

A routine visa renewal turned into an unexpected mission opportunity. Missing a crucial document, we faced paying costly overstay fees in Thailand. We prayed, asking God where He wanted us to go next, and He led us to Cambodia.

In Battambang, missionary friends took us to ASAP’s Tmor Kol Literacy School. Over 20 smiling children were excitedly waiting to meet us. I hadn’t brought anything for them, but when I asked about snacks, the teacher said, “Just $5 will be enough.” That small amount fed them all. My heart broke. How many times had I wasted $5, while here it could bring such joy?

We sang “Jesus Loves Me,” told a Bible story, and prayed with them. One little girl, the only Adventist

When God Sent Rain

In Han Song Jae, a Vietnamese village near the border of Laos and China, God is at work through Yu A Lav, a 29-year-old father of two and dedicated ASAP church planter. In this village, most couples marry before the age of 18, and smoking and drinking are everyday habits. Married at 16, Yu A Lav knows the challenges of his people.

in the class, prayed for the Holy Spirit, her faith born simply by attending the school.

This literacy center began on “Jesus Land,” a floodprone plot no one wanted. Today, it’s a place where children eagerly come to learn about Jesus and then carry His love home to their families.

Right now, you can be part of this miracle. Your gifts can feed children, equip teachers, and share the gospel. Visit asapministries.org/give and select Education.

Yu A Lav’s days are filled with visiting with the villagers, studying the Bible, and farming. In June, he courageously planned an evangelistic meeting. Though the government refused his request for permission, Yu A Lav was determined to run the program. For five days before the meetings, and each day during the meetings, he and his church members covered the entire program in prayer.

When the meetings began, heavy rain poured down, flooding roads and making them impassable. What looked like an obstacle turned into a miracle! The local officers, unable to enter the village, could not stop the program. Instead, many young people came to listen, and as they gained an understanding of Bible teachings, their lives were changed!

A Church Planter in Every Unreached People Group in Southeast Asia

In much of Southeast Asia, millions of Buddhists live and die without ever hearing the name of Jesus. Entire communities are still without access to a Bible, a Christian friend, or a local church. These are the unreached people groups, villages, and cities where Jesus’ first coming has never been shared, much less the news of His second coming.

ASAP Ministries believes that this must change. Our vision is bold: We aim to support church planters among the estimated 311 currently unreached people groups across Southeast Asia. If we send out workers two-by-two, that means we need at least 622

new workers to be trained and sponsored - through your prayers and support.

ASAP church planters live among the people, speak their language, and share the gospel as they walk through life’s struggles with them. Through caring relationships and ASAP’s wholistic ministry, they open doors for the gospel in places once considered unreachable.

Your partnership makes this vision possible. Every prayer and every gift helps equip our church planters, medical missionaries, and mission school teachers to take the gospel into new territories.

Together, we can send men and women who will plant seeds of faith where none have been sown before.

We won’t stop until every unreached people group in Southeast Asia has a gospel missionary, until every person has the opportunity to meet Jesus.

Will you join us in praying for and reaching the unreached?

For His Glory
