E Chansreyna was once a student, and now she is a light in her classroom.

A Life Transformed By Faith By John Press, ASAP Media Coordinator

Chansreyna’s journey didn’t begin with a calling; it began with loss and loneliness. As a young girl in rural Cambodia, she often felt invisible and powerless. Before Chansreyna could even start school, her mother fell gravely ill, and despite the family’s desperate efforts, she only got weaker.

The years ahead tested her faith, especially in jobs that pressured her to compromise her beliefs. She prayed, waited, and trusted God’s timing. Eventually, she returned to Chamroeun Phal, this time as an ASAP teacher, nurturing children facing the same struggles she once knew intimately.

In the midst of despair, a Christian friend invited Chansreyna to church. There, she asked strangers to pray for her mother’s healing. Soon her worst fear came true; she was sent to live with a distant relative in Phnom Penh, and learned her mother had passed away.

Chansreyna is living proof of what God can do when a vulnerable child is nurtured with discipleship and education. ASAP Ministries’ mission schools are transforming overlooked children into missionaries who can impact the world!

Amid the grief, a light appeared. Her relative enrolled her at ASAP supported Chamroeun Phal Adventist School. For the first time, Chansreyna felt safe, cared for, and loved, not just by her teachers and peers, but by God. By Grade 5, she had chosen to be baptized, giving her life to Him.
