INFINITO CABINET. MARIA CRISTINA CRESPO is a wunderkammer that ranges from Malraux’s imaginary museum to Borges’ cosmic library: an immersive exhibition-installation, curated by Giusy Caroppo, traversing literature, art, myth, religion, and philosophy, eras and cultures, from the North to the Mediterranean. It is an iconographic theater of memory-objects, where times and genres dialogue between myths, authors, and real or symbolic places. History is miniaturized in polymaterial stages and anthropomorphic vases, between the sacred and the grotesque, leading to a reflection on Cancel Culture and Western complexity, with Venice as a landscape of Memory, between finite and infinite. a / C2 ISOLE DEL SILENZIO
The exhibition “ISLANDS OF SILENCE”, organized by the Fondation Enterprise Wilmotte for the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, offers a contemplative experience in which Kan Yasuda creates a mineral garden as an inner space. Silence and essentiality become presence, inviting a slow mode of perception. The journey begins with the video Beyond Form, dedicated to marble, and leads to the main hall, immersed in semi-darkness. Here, ten sculptures, arranged like islands, engage in dialogue with light and space. Between fullness and emptiness, matter and non-matter, the exhibition evokes a suspended balance and a profound sense of serenity.
