Light Up Leicester is a brand new city-wide festival. Running from 5 – 8 March, it will light up the streets with a trail of free interactive artworks.
Many of the artworks have already enjoyed success in the UK and elsewhere, but three new pieces have been specially commissioned for Light up Leicester and will premiere as part of the festival. All of the artworks are connected, this could be through in-built movement sensors, touch-based pressure pads or powered by data from the internet.
Together, the seven installations will create a stunning night-time spectacle in Leicester city centre that will be free for everyone to discover, play with and enjoy.
