This oversized, lushly printed monograph is an intimate portrait of the many sides of America’s most legendary sports personality. It presents a selection of George Kalinsky’s favorite images of the boxer, beautifully printed as black and white quadtones on heavyweight uncoated stock. Produced in a limited edition of 300 copies, the book includes several of Kalinsky’s most famous photos, along with others that are being published for the first time.
Kalinsky, the official photographer of Madison Square Garden and a long-time friend of Ali’s, was at his side for his most famous bouts, during hours in the training room and also for intimate moments walking the streets of New York or relaxing in hotel rooms.
