Welcome to ArtHouse Jersey’s Autumn/Winter 2026–27 programme. As the seasons change, we invite you to discover a programme filled with creativity, conversation and shared experiences. Over the coming months, you’ll find extraordinary art in unexpected places, alongside immersive exhibitions, live performances, hands-on workshops and plenty of opportunities to get creative. This season brings together internationally acclaimed artists and exceptional local talent, with highlights including Moon, Facing Now, The Cocktail Studio, Future Festive and Cake & Cabaret, alongside projects created with and for our Island’s communities. At ArtHouse Jersey, we believe creativity can bring people together, inspire fresh thinking and enrich everyday life. Whatever you choose to experience, we hope you’ll discover something that sparks your imagination and makes you feel welcome. Art in the Arches: Jersey’s largest outdoor gallery Take a stroll through Jersey’s largest outdoor gallery and discover a growing collection of murals transforming the arches of Elizabeth Marina. Returning for its third year, Art in the Arches brings together local artists, community groups and school children to create vibrant public artworks inspired by this year’s theme, Safe Haven. Curated by artist and educator Jacqueline Rutter, the project explores ideas of safety, belonging and connection; to the Island, to the sea and to one another. Drawing inspiration from the historic role of harbours as places of both protection and welcome, the artworks reimagine Elizabeth Marina as a place of creativity, inclusivity and hope. Since its launch in 2024, the project has steadily transformed the marina into an open-air gallery. The first edition explored the theme Water, Water, Everywhere, followed by Out of the Blue in 2025, with each year adding new perspectives and voices to the growing collection of murals. The latest additions to the trail have been created by artists Max Corbett, Sami Osman, Yulia Makayeva, Kate Sugden, James Colmer and Jamie Cole, alongside participants from Bel Royal Primary School, Mont à L’Abbé School, Hautlieu School, La Passerelle Primary School, JCG Foundation (on a mural co-created with art students from Japan), Jersey Marine Conservation, Ocean Culture Life and ArtHouse Jersey’s Saturday Art School. Safe Haven also hosts a mural specially created through an artist exchange between Antigua and Barbuda and Jersey. Whether you’re looking for a lunchtime wander, a weekend walk with family and friends, or simply a fresh perspective on a familiar part of St Helier, Art in the Arches offers an opportunity to experience creativity in the open air. Take your time, look closely and discover the stories, ideas and voices woven into this unique public art trail.

Dementia Jersey Pop Up: This Is Me ArtHouse Jersey

Dementia Jersey Pop Up: This Is Me Dementia Jersey is proud to present This Is Me, an exhibition of self-portraits created by members of its Art Exploration groups. The exhibition complements the recent Reframing Dementia photography exhibition, a collaborative project between Dementia Jersey and ArtHouse Jersey.
As a local charity, Dementia Jersey is dedicated to helping and supporting people to live well with dementia. The exhibition forms part of the charity’s campaign for International Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in September.
Featuring artwork produced during Dementia Jersey’s weekly art sessions, led by art teacher Lucy Blackmore, the exhibition celebrates creativity, identity and self-expression. Art Exploration provides an invaluable creative and social outlet for people living with dementia, offering participants the opportunity to communicate through a visual language that can foster confidence, freedom of expression and personal connection.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a pop-up tea room, with donations welcomed to help raise funds for Dementia Jersey’s ongoing work supporting islanders affected by dementia. Free entry, no booking necessary.
Saturday Art School Saturday Art School is a free extra-curricular programme for secondary school students aged 12 to 18 who are curious about art, creativity and making. Running across the autumn, spring and summer terms, the workshops are led by professional artist educators and offer young people the chance to explore a wide range of creative techniques, materials and ideas in a supportive and inspiring environment. The programme encourages experimentation, imagination and independent thinking. Participants might find themselves drawing, painting, sculpting, making paper, creating animations or working collaboratively on larger creative projects. Alongside developing practical skills, students build confidence in their own ideas, discover new ways of expressing themselves and connect with other young people who share a passion for creativity. Relaxed, welcoming and sociable, Saturday Art School is as much about creative exploration as it is about building friendships and becoming part of a supportive artistic community. Many participants return term after term, developing their skills while growing in confidence and ambition. Places are free but limited. Rebecca Coley The Collins Pop Up Exhibition Series invites the community to enjoy the work of local artists in ArtHouse Jersey’s unique exhibition space for a short ‘pop up’ time period. Rebecca Coley is a filmmaker, director, writer and producer working across documentary and narrative storytelling. She has made a number of award winning short films and this exhibition will be a mixture of a retrospective of her work to date alongside an exploration of new work including an immersive art and performance aspect in the style of talks and videos on screen. Visitors will walk through a journey in time and view various films and the exhibition will look at how each work links to each other, making meaning from moments in time by joining them together in this way. Rebecca hopes the presentation will be surprising and there will be both funny and poignant moments plus the chance for interaction at the end. Free entry, no booking necessary.

Jersey Festival of Words presents:
Some Woman for One Woman ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to be working with Jersey Festival of Words to present a unique collaboration between words and image. Some Woman for One Woman brings together the words of Jersey-based Irish poet Danielle Mynes with visual artist Jacque Rutter, giving voice and space to female experience. The collection features twenty-two poems and is inspired by the poet’s lived experiences and perspectives. The merging of two powerful mediums takes you on a journey and serves as both a political commentary on the violence women experience daily and their enduring fortitude, and women’s capacity to love and heal the world in everyday actions.

Join us this September for two free events exploring what it means to belong in Jersey. Through presentations, conversation and shared reflection, we’ll share new research developed through ArtHouse Jersey’s long-term Abundant Futures project and invite audiences to take part in an important conversation about identity, community and the Island’s future. Over the past three years, artist Dana Olărescu has led Abundant Futures, a longterm socially engaged project exploring belonging through artistic collaborations and conversations with communities across the Island. Together, we’ve been asking what it means to feel connected, recognised and able to shape life in Jersey. The project has led to an independent research study by researcher Mariana Pinto Leitão Pereira, bringing together reflections from Islanders of many different backgrounds
and experiences. Rather than offering definitive answers, the research opens up new perspectives and conversations about belonging, identity and participation. On Saturday 26 September, everyone is invited to an informal public event sharing the research findings and the stories behind them. On Monday 28 September, organisations, policymakers and community partners will come together to explore how the work might inform future thinking and collaboration. Architecture Week 2026 with Association of Jersey Architects

Guided walks will explore St Helier’s urban fabric and streetscape, uncovering many of the architectural gems and qualities forming the often unnoticed backdrop of our every day. Talks will explore the latest architectural thinking and practice from our Island and further afield, with lively panel discussions held to stimulate debate and conversation on current issues around Jersey’s future. An architectural studio space will be set up for both adults and children hosting a range of activities that help us to develop our design thinking, offering the chance to sketch, make models and explore ideas.
Architecture Week 2026
The Association of Jersey Architects (the AJA) takes over Capital House to host Architecture Week 2026, consisting of walks, talks, activities for all ages and an open call architectural exhibition focusing on the week’s theme ‘a sense of place’. The gallery aims to become a platform for exploring the world of architecture and will ask what ‘place’ means in the context of Jersey today. It will be a shared space to learn and think about our built environment, be creative and find inspiration.

Come in and make your mark. This is an exhibition you’re invited to touch, change, add to and help create. For ArtHouse Jersey’s first Capital House Artist Takeover, The Stoodio is taking over the gallery and turning some of the usual rules of an exhibition on their head. Led by artists and co-founders Hayley Gibaut and Sophie Harris, Make Your Mark begins as an open, empty space. Over three weeks, it will transform through the creativity, curiosity and collaboration of everyone who enters, with every contribution becoming part of a growing collective artwork. Drop in for ten minutes or stay for the afternoon. Paint, draw, write, build, move, listen, play or follow an idea wherever it takes you. Creative zones will be open throughout the exhibition, alongside workshops and live experiences spanning visual art, music, poetry, movement and performance. Nothing here is fixed. Add something. Change something. Pick up where somebody else left
off. Each creative act responds to what has come before, creating a continuous dialogue between ideas, materials and people. Hayley and Sophie will also be joined by artists and practitioners from different disciplines, including Emilie Knight, DJ David Gaspar and other guest collaborators, with more to be announced. Whether you’re making your first mark or bringing years of artistic practice, everyone is welcome. Experiment, collaborate, make a mess, try something new and see what happens. Give it a Whirl! with Jersey Lilies Mixed Morris Why not spend an evening dancing around, clashing sticks, waving hankies, and having a good time? If that sounds fun, then come along to this event hosted by the Jersey Lilies Mixed Morris where you can have a go at morris dancing. The roots of morris dancing are lost in the mists of time, but the tradition has a recorded history dating back more than five hundred years. Over the centuries it has constantly evolved, spawning new dances and adopting new styles of dress, as fashions changed. The result is the vibrant tradition of performance dancing which exists today. So, don’t stand on the sidelines - come along and give it a go. No previous experience is needed; during this fun filled immersive evening you will have a chance to learn some simple dances yourself. Skylarks by Heather Barette and Ben Robertson is a large-scale 45m installation that spans the new departure lounge and is inspired from Jersey’s skylark population that nests across St Peter’s Parish in the vicinity of the airport. 64 hand-made clay birds each individually painted and patterned, create a wonderful play of light, colour and movement, reminding visitors of the local habitat and unique ecosystems of Jersey.
Artists Michelle Cain and Alcindo Pinto who previously created the iconic willow puffins at Plemont and the willow toad (crapaud) in St Lawrence, are creating a new family of willow Jersey cows that will also be seen across the departure lounge area.

Over the past year, ArtHouse Jersey has been working closely with Ports of Jersey and Jersey architects Axis Mason to bring art into the new redesign of Jersey Airport. The first phase of this project will open in October with the reopening of the departure lounge building which will feature two new specially commissioned artworks.

Hosted at St. Helier Methodist Centre by kind arrangement with the Methodist Church in Jersey. Following the success of Floating Earth, which attracted more than 31,000 visitors in Jersey, Moon continues ArtHouse Jersey’s commitment to bringing extraordinary public artworks to unexpected places and creating moments of shared wonder.

Museum of the Moon has been co-commissioned by a number of creative organisations brought together by Luke Jerram and Norfolk & Norwich Festival, including Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Brighton Festival, Without Walls, Lakes Alive, Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof, Cork Midsummer Festival, We The Curious, Ensemble Arts Philly and Les Tombées de la Nuit. This autumn, ArtHouse Jersey presents Luke Jerram’s internationally acclaimed touring artwork, Museum of the Moon. Measuring six metres in diameter and featuring highly detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface, this extraordinary illuminated sculpture combines light with surround sound composition to invite audiences to encounter our closest celestial neighbour in an entirely new way.

Elizabeth Radcliffe is a Savile Row-trained bespoke tailor who crafts timeless, elegant, and beautifully constructed garments. The theme of this exhibition is ‘Behind the scenes’ showcasing the process behind the artists’ practices from the initial textile design, through the textile print process, pattern cutting and then garment construction. Elizabeth’s work shines a light on the slow goods movement and making mindful choices when shopping. She will be showcasing a range of tailored garments, which are made to order. Miranda Bonn is a textile designer and artist with a BA in Printed Textiles from Falmouth University of the Arts and an MA in Textiles from the Royal College of Art. She runs a textile design business, Little Coconut and her work is inspired by the natural environment. In this exhibition she will be presenting a range of printed textiles, from initial hand-drawn and painted artwork through to finished fabric designs. The exhibition explores how original drawings, paintings, inspiration imagery, and colour studies are developed into repeat patterns for both interior and fashion applications. The Glory of Gaming:
Table Top Worlds The Glory of Gaming is a new project designed to celebrate and connect Jersey’s diverse gaming communities while introducing new audiences to the creativity, challenge, and social benefits of gaming culture. Hosted at Capital House, this showcase weekend event will transform the venue into a vibrant world of imagination, strategy, and adventure. Visitors will discover everything from Warhammer, Pokémon, Dungeons & Dragons, and tabletop role-playing games to classic and contemporary board games.

Featuring stunning displays of miniature painting, breathtaking dioramas, this weekend event will also feature an open competition showcasing the talents of model makers and painters. Interactive elements will include gaming tables, painting and modelmaking stations, a specialist gaming library, merchandise, and opportunities to learn new skills from experienced enthusiasts. Launching with a special opening evening on Friday 8 January from 7–10pm, followed by a packed weekend programme from 12–6pm, The Glory of Gaming invites everyone to discover the richness of gaming culture, celebrate creativity, and embrace their inner geek. Facing Now An exhibition of contemporary portraiture Faces and body language tell us so much about a person – who they are, how they feel and sometimes even what they’re thinking. Some make us smile, some spark our curiosity and some seem to reveal something of the person behind them. Facing Now celebrates the many different ways artists capture people, bringing together striking contemporary portraits by internationally recognised artists alongside exciting emerging talent from Jersey and the Channel Islands. From beautifully observed drawings and paintings to bold, unexpected works, it’s an exhibition full of personality, creativity and surprising encounters.
At the heart of the exhibition is the inaugural ArtHouse Jersey Portrait Award, celebrating portrait artists from Jersey and across the Channel Islands. Shortlisted works will be exhibited alongside works by acclaimed artists including Mitra Tabrizian, Iness Rychlik, Wilfrid Wood, Martyn Harris, Shamica Ruddock, Curtis Holder, Phoebe Stewart Carter, Derrick Guild, Jason Butler and Olympia McEwan. Whether you’re an art lover, an occasional gallery visitor or simply curious about people, Facing Now invites you to look a little closer. Sophia Bourne is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans visual art, poetry, movement, and sound. Her work invites space for reflection and contemplation, drawing continual inspiration from the cycles and rhythms of the natural world, alongside her studies in somatics. In this exhibition she will be showcasing a blend of visual art, poetic text and movement-art, as well as a new poetry pamphlet that she is developing supported by an ArtHouse Jersey Development Grant. Francesca Warner studied for a BSc degree in social anthropology and undertook an art foundation year at Wimbledon School of Art where she specialised in ceramics. She will be showcasing plein air soft pastel drawings from hedgerows and fields in Jersey, including close-up drawing ‘snapshots’ of plants in varying growth periods and light. She is drawn to looking at plants in a new way and noting how everything from the stars to the plants, trees and insects are connected.
Christine Finn is an artist and writer informed by investigative practices of print and broadcast journalism. Much of her art and writing has been inspired by remaking home in different locations including Oxford, Bradford, Kent, Rome, Dublin, Silicon Valley, Vermont and, latterly Paris.

Working with each parish, we bring professional artists into familiar community settings, making it easier for people to come together, reconnect with neighbours and make new friends. By keeping events local, we aim to reduce barriers to attendance and reach those who may not be as independent as they once were. Each year features a specially commissioned programme created for parish audiences. For 2027, Jersey-born mezzo-soprano Georgia Mae Bishop and pianist Ashley Beauchamp present a new musical journey inspired by life’s memorable moments and milestones. Blending beloved classics, songs from stage and screen, original music, and reflections on Jersey’s culture and heritage, the programme celebrates the experiences that connect us all. Whether attending in your local parish hall or at one of two public performances, audiences can look forward to an uplifting couple of hours of music, storytelling, hospitality and friendship. David Michael Adams is a filmmaker and animator whose work focuses on educating and raising awareness on various environmental and ecological topics such as ecocide, pollution, deforestation and ocean acidification. In this exhibition he
Bob Tompkins is a self-taught painter inspired by his background in farming and environmental projects. He grew up surrounded by farms and as a boy earned pocket money working the land in the summer and winter months. Bob is drawn to landscapes and seascapes featuring animals and birds. He works in both oils and acrylics and favours using deep edge canvas frames. Tickets/Booking: Free entry, no booking necessary.
