On the traditional single-family side, affordability and rising construction costs have slowed the moveup market, particularly in Macomb County where homes around the $900,000 price point are taking longer to sell. However, builder incentives are increasing, and optimism remains strong. Meanwhile, apartment construction continues to grow as affordability drives demand for rental options, while the luxury market remains stable to strong.

What do you love most about being part of Arterra?

It all started in June of 2018. I called Vito and said, “I love being an Arterra agent, but I think I can do something more. I want to make a difference in the company beyond just being an advisor.”
I threw out an idea regarding new-build homes, but Vito came back with an even better opportunity.
He asked, “How would you like to run the new Arterra Lead Program and help agents connect with more leads to grow their business?”
Eight years later, I’m still doing exactly that, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
What I enjoy most, however, is the interaction I have with our agents and the entire Arterra team. I can truly say that I am a people person. While I may not be much of a computer person, the relationships I’ve built with my coworkers, colleagues, and friends are what make this role so meaningful.
Arterra has always been a company that values people and relationships. The bonds and connections we share are priceless. You can feel it every day.
People Matter More at Arterra and I can honestly say that’s absolutely 100% true.

What are some things you handle behind the scenes that agents might not realize?
Being part of a company and helping it grow is an incredibly gratifying feeling. On a daily basis, I review leads within our systems and check in with agents to see how they are doing and whether they need assistance navigating the program. I connect with them biweekly—and sometimes even weekly—to offer support and guidance.
I also work closely with our lead representatives to ensure agents receive the latest updates and important information that can help them succeed and build their businesses. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping agents convert company-sponsored leads into successful closings as efficiently and effectively as possible.

My journey into real estate started long before I became a licensed Realtor. I've always been fascinated by ownership, investing, and building something that could create opportunities for my family and community.
What motivates me today is seeing how real estate changes lives Whether it's helping a first-time homebuyer purchase their first home, guiding a family into new construction, assisting a seller with their next chapter, or helping an investor build wealth, I enjoy being part of that journey. Real estate is more than transactions it's about helping people create stability, opportunity, and generational wealth.

Howdoyouapproachbuilding relationshipsandservingyourclients?
Iviewmyroleasboth anadvisorandan advocate.Iwantmy clientstofeel informed, confident, andsupportedfrom ourfirstconversation throughclosingand beyond.
My approach is simple: listen first, educate second, and serve throughout the entire process Every client has a different story, different goals, and different challenges I take time to understand what matters most to them so I can provide solutions that fit their situation
I view my role as both an advisor and an advocate. I want my clients to feel informed, confident, and supported from our first conversation through closing and beyond Many of my relationships continue long after the transaction because I genuinely care about helping people succeed
One of the biggest wins in my journey has been realizing that my background wasn't a limitation it was an advantage After spending nearly two decades in the trucking industry while building my real estate career, I learned the value of consistency, hard work, and showing up every day.
A defining moment was seeing clients trust me with some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives and then watching them achieve their goals Whether it's helping a family become homeowners, assisting an investor with a profitable opportunity, or helping someone move into a home they never thought was possible, those moments remind me why I do this work.
Being part of Arterra means being surrounded by professionals who share a commitment to excellence, service, and growth The culture encourages agents to build authentic relationships, elevate their business, and continuously improve their skills.
I appreciate that Arterra recognizes that real estate is ultimately a people business The support, collaboration, and shared vision within the company allow me to better serve my clients while continuing to grow both personally and professionally I'm proud to be part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Whatinspiredyoutogetintoreal estate,andwhatkeepsyou motivatedtoday?
About the time I was finalizing my plans to relocate to Port St. Lucie, Florida, Arterra was putting things in place to begin operating in Florida with several remote agents The timing could not have been better for me because it allowed me to make the move without severing ties with Arterra, a company I had been with for about six years at the time.
Shortly after moving and getting settled, I was asked to join the Lead Conversion Team in a concierge role I was excited to accept and begin working closely with Cynthia Rubino, whom I already knew well from our years working together in Rochester
One thing I especially appreciate about Arterra is that the company treats serving its customers as an honor which it truly is.
The real estate business is constantly evolving, and lead management is a great example of that. A typical day begins with checking our Zillow portal and company website for new leads that may have come in overnight That process continues throughout the day as I monitor notifications of new leads and follow up with existing leads who are inquiring about properties they have discovered online

I work closely with both seasoned agents and newer agents Those who are just entering our lead program sometimes need guidance with initial paperwork or coaching on how to gently guide their customers through the decision-making process More experienced agents generally require less assistance, but they will occasionally call for a second opinion regarding customer situations or questions involving service providers such as mortgage lenders, inspectors, or contractors
One of the things I enjoy most about this role is that it allows me to remain part of a great real estate team that is committed to serving its customers and continually strengthening its reputation as a customercentric business
One thing I especially appreciate about Arterra is that the company treats serving its customers as an honor which it truly is. I notice that much of the marketing from other brokerages focuses on how many homes they have sold or how many dollars they have generated
Arterra has always championed a different vision We take pride not only in the homes we sell, but in the people and families we help achieve their dreams of homeownership
As the real estate business continues to evolve, I look forward to growing alongside Arterra as we explore new lead sources, embrace new technologies, and continue supporting our team of agents in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
