Affordability is still challenging buyers, while builders continue to face elevated construction and financing costs. Incentives remain a major part of the market, making it increasingly important for builders and real estate professionals to work together to communicate value, create buyer urgency and convert interest into sales.
WHAT BUILDERS AND REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS SHOULD KNOW THIS MONTH Builders continue to adapt with strategic pricing and sales incentives designed to move hesitant buyers forward. In August, 35% of builders reported cutting prices, while 63% offered sales incentives—showing that flexibility remains a key strategy in today’s market.
BUILDER INCENTIVES REMAIN A KEY SALES TOOL Sales incentives were used by 63% of builders in August, showing that builders are continuing to use strategic offers to help buyers overcome affordability concerns. This marks another month with incentive use above 60%, reinforcing how important flexibility has become in today’s new-construction market.
