Powerful and deeply expressive, Nico is a striking bronze sculpture that captures the quiet authority of a silverback gorilla.
The sculpture is inspired by Nico, the much-loved western lowland gorilla who lived at Longleat Safari Park. Arriving from Switzerland in the 1980s, Nico became one of the oldest and most iconic silverback gorillas in Europe, living well into his fifties - far exceeding the species’ typical lifespan.
