To
You,
It’s been four years since the day you first stepped foot in this building. One thousand four hundred sixty days. Over four thousand hours spent at Algonquin, taking notes, connecting with teachers and peers, staying after for sports and extracurriculars. Four years of work and fun and everything in between. You made it to the day that many of us have spent four years counting down to; you did it. The time has finally come to move onto the next chapter which will be filled with more obstacles and accomplishments. We have no doubt that each of you bring something special to the table. From Freshman Orientation to Senior Picnic, you have all grown as individuals, connected as a community and shown us what it means to be passionate, caring and driven. We have seen the art shows, the musicals, the championships, the performances. We have seen the boundless curiosity, the enthusiasm for your passions and the willingness to come together as a class, whether it be to help a cause or to put on the most epic slip and slide the practice fields have ever seen. We continue to be amazed by how much talent and diversity of interests is contained within the halls of Algonquin, and we’re excited to see what happens when all of this is released to the world beyond. Many of you will become something new in the next stage of your life. Maybe you’ll be a politician that saves the environment, a soldier protecting our country or a journalist covering a ground-breaking story. Whatever it may be, there is more to come. But you will always be a T-Hawk; you will always have the drive and perseverance that got you through the past four years, and you will always have a community to fall back on. Best of luck Class of 2019!
