I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which I live, learn and work. I pay our respects to Elders past and present.
I honour the custodianship that have cared for this land for tens of thousands of years. I am committed to learning and working respectfully with Indigenous communities towards the future grounded in care for Country.

Field trip for Studio 5 - Landscape Structure Plan
I am Harry Vu Quoc An Trinh, and my design philosophy is rooted in a personal milieu: transforming the devastation of climate change into opportunities for ecological and community resilience. Witnessing the annual flooding across Vietnam’s Central Region gets more extreme, fueled my drive to become a landscape architect focused on mitigation.
My portfolio is a deliberate exploration of small scale landscape design, urban planning to exploration of nature-based landscape design that mitigate climate issues. It showcases a mastery of integrating green infrastructure, restorative tidal dynamics, and decentralized water management systems to turn vulnerable sites into resilient, living landscapes. I view existing condition of any sites as an opportunity to transform into a practical and functional landscape.
My goal is to pioneer the next generation of resilient urbanism in Vietnam and Australia. I am committed and improving to translating global ecological design principles into context-specific interventions for the Central Region, developing dynamic systems that manage the yearly flooding cycle. I seek a place where I can dedicate my expertise to protecting these vulnerable communities and building a future where design and defense are inseparable.

Landscape Studio 5 challenged me to think at a higher level. Through analysis work on the existing landscape of the site between Leppington and Oran Park, I presented my structure plan for this area. This work addresses fragmented and endangered plant communities, heritage values and First Nation People knowledge, which set a foundation of a structure plan to accommodate growing population and respect for the ecological system.
Outcome:
Landscape Studio 6 master plan adopt the structure plan from Studio 5. This chosen area is within the Camden North Precinct. The master plan visualise detailed design for Camden. Graphic work aim to convey TOD precinct; flood through nature-based water sensitive design and urban heat island mitigation through street planting, pocket parks and regional park.

The Adam Street Park is envisioned to transform Campsie waterfront precinct into a water sensitive and inclusive place. The core objectives are enhanced accessibility and water sensitivity. New paths for walking and cycling will be constructed to create a sense of place for all ages and abilities can enjoy the water front. Simultaneously, WSUD features three bio-retention ponds, each with a different program to increase versatility. These ponds will naturally manage storm water, foster a healthier Cooks River and become a model of resilience landscape, mitigating the impact of intense rainfall events due to climate change, foster a healthier river through restoring native riparian habitat, enhance biodiversity quality of life for the community

Landscape Studio 4 is a design project for UNSW Paddington courtyard. The main design language prioritise sound sensory experience, with more planting to cool down the surface temperature of existing courtyard. Redesigned courtyard form a sense of place, invite students and local residents to stay and interact with the landscape.
Landscape Studio 1 - The first studio experience that set the curve for my design standard. The first project was an open riverside swimming spot in Callan Park, Sydney. The constraint here was frequently tidal rising, which the design has to be mindful towards the course of nature and human uses.
My coursework in Landscape Documentation 1 and 2 provided me with a strong foundation in technical architecture drawing. Knowledge of drawing sheet setup, construction methods, primary materials, and industry standards is essential for my landscape design planning.
This project fueled my passion to pursue achitecture profession. Midas School is a grand secondary school for its large scale, integrate sustainable features like solar panels on roof spaces and a plastic bottle recycling machine on campus.
Education is a humanitarian right, and accessing to modern campus will boost student’s productivity, pride and development. Those are the visions that driven me to complete this project for my 2021 Design & Technology HSC exam.
