WELCOME

Welcome to Worcester Racecourse Welcome to Worcester Racecourse for our final fixture of the 2026 season. As we reach the end of another fantastic season, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of it. From our owners, trainers and jockeys to our hospitality guests, racegoers and punters, your continued support means a great deal to us. We have thoroughly enjoyed the season and hope you have made some wonderful memories along the way, too. We are also incredibly grateful to all our sponsors for their ongoing support throughout the year. Today, we are delighted to welcome the Fred & Mercy Rimell Memorial Race, the Richard and Ann Hitchings Memorial Race, and Squarcle. A particular thank you goes to our main sponsors, Copybet, FBC Manby Bowdler, Purple Granite and PJ Nicholls, for their valued support throughout the season. On the track today, we have 67 horses racing across 8 races, and we wish all owners, trainers, jockeys and connections the very best of luck. We hope you all enjoy our final fixture of the season with us. Thank you once again for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Worcester Racecourse next year. Facilities For Disabled Racegoers There are ladies and gentleman’s disabled toilets on the ground floor of the Grandstand near the main entrance. Safety In the interests of public safety all visitors to the Racecourse should follow directions of the Safety Stewards on the Stands and the Race Day Staff throughout the Racecourse. Please do not leave bags or your possessions unattended at any time as this could cause a security alert. It is an offence to be drunk at a sporting event and for this reason people clearly under the influence of alcohol will be asked to leave the racecourse. Racegoers are requested to be particularly aware of their personal safety in all areas where they come into close contact with the horses, such as the parade ring and the horse walks.

First Aid The First Aid Room is located at the top end of the Pre-Parade Ring. General Although everyone is welcome at Worcester Racecourse, we do reserve the right, in extreme circumstances, either to refuse admission or to eject any person from the racecourse. Horse & Jockey Welfare at Worcester Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.

Seating/Viewing Racegoers are requested not to stand in the marked gangways on the Grandstand Steppings as this will compromise safety. Vehicles On The Course Please note that several vehicles containing the doctors, vets and officials will be travelling around the Centre Course area during each race. For this reason and in the interests of safety, visitors in the Centre Course enclosure are requested to remain within the defined enclosure. Wireless Transmitting The use of any wireless transmitting and/or receiving apparatus other than the official circuit is prohibited at all racecourses. Failure to comply could result in your removal from the racecourse as per our terms and conditions of entry.

It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary.

Star Ratings Explained Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below: HHHHH Selected to win the race. HHHHI Good chance of being placed. HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope. HIIII Can be given little or no chance.

OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in nonhandicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating. For novice steeple chasers, the latest hurdle race rating may be shown until such time as the Handicappers allot a separate steeple chase rating. Such ratings are prefixed by the letter h.

In loving memory of Rich and Ann Hitchings Horse racing was a huge part of Ann and Rich's lives. Rich worked at Worcester racecourse on the northern exit for many years. When Anthony bought a racehorse, Hahadi, Ann loved going to watch him race. Both are remembered with a smile by family and friends, especially when attending race meetings at Worcester Racecourse.

DELTA BLUES BELLE had a ready excuse on her final start last season and is taken to resume her progression on her return. Pounds At The Time shaped well in his first handicap at the end of last year and could pose a threat if ready to roll on his first run since. Roe And Co is next on the list after his good third here a fortnight ago.
