RACE SUMMARY

The vote goes to LA HIGUERA, who has acquitted himself well upped to around 3m in handicaps at Ffos Las and Haydock since returning to action last month. The lightly-raced 6-y-o should have more to offer and shades preference ahead of easy Hereford winner Glengolly and handicap debutant Donttellyamumjack. RACE SUMMARY

Christian Williams has his string in decent order and, having been gambled on, CATBOY was shaping up encouragingly prior to unseating over fences at Ludlow 55 days ago. He could be worth chancing to defy a basement mark back over hurdles before market clues, though confidence behind Olly Murphy handicap newcomer Kenzoko would put a different slant on things. Course scorer Eric Carmen is another to note.

RACE SUMMARY

It was an improved effort from JACQUES CLOUSEAU when finishing hot on the heels of a pair of race-fit rivals on his return from seven months off in a handicap hurdle at Southwell. With further progress likely now tackling the larger obstacles, he gets the nod ahead of Kalhandrion and Genietoile, in that order of preference. RACE SUMMARY

RAINBOW TARA caught the eye in a Cheltenham bumper on her debut (for Toby Bulgin) back in the spring and, having transferred to a top yard, it’s reasonable to expect a fair amount of improvement, so she’s an appealing candidate. Florence’s Dream and Fern Gully are a couple of newcomers to note.
