Al Basti Equiword, Dubai the UAE’s leading distributor or horse feeds and supplements proudly sponsors the Owners & Trainers facilities at Bath Racecourse
On behalf of everyone at Bath Racecourse, I’m delighted to welcome you to our second fixture of the season and what promises to be a fantastic evening of racing. I’m always curious to know what brings people to join us, so if you happen to see me during the evening, please do stop and say hello.
We’re especially grateful to our sponsors for their generous support. Their continued commitment plays a vital role in making days like this possible and in supporting British racing.

We have another wonderful turnout of runners this evening, with 86 horses declared to run. A number of previous Bath winners return, across what looks to be a very competitive card ranging from 5 furlong sprints, to a 2 mile marathon test to kick us off
Looking ahead, we have an exciting season in store, with several key fixtures to enjoy:
* Bank Holiday Family Fun Day on 4th May – free entry for children, packed with family entertainment and picnic-friendly
* Friday 5th June – an evening of racing followed by a live DJ in the paddock
* Ladies Day on Saturday 13th June – a highlight of the social calendar with live music and dancing through the decades
* Friday 31st July – featuring live music from The Wurzels after racing
* Saturday 15th August – Rum and Reggae Night with live music
* Saturday 12th September – Absolute Country featuring a Morgan Wallen & Luke Coombs tribute
There truly is something for everyone.
For those looking to enhance their raceday experience, a limited number of spaces are available in the Royal Crescent. Please visit the customer service point for further details.
Our next fixture takes place on Monday 27th April, and we look forward to welcoming you back then.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all owners and trainers for their continued support. We are incredibly grateful to those who have chosen to run their horses with us today and at recent fixtures. Your commitment is essential to the success of our racedays, and we look forward to welcoming you and your teams throughout the 2026 season
We hope you have a wonderful evening with us and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Hannah Chree Executive Director

This information is precautionary and we trust the procedures will not be needed.
Please remember in the event of an emergency, to take your belongings with you and, under the direction of Bath Racecourse representatives, proceed quickly and quietly to the agreed area.
Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing
surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse. We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today. To find out more about our Equine Welfare policy, please visit our website www.bath-racecourse.co.uk.

Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. On duty todaywe also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualifiedVets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout theirtime at the racecourse. The locations andvehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to anyincident across the site.
OURBREN was highly tried last year and readily sets the standard back in a maiden. At the forecast odds, the daughter of Starman wouldn't qualify as the 'value bet of the day', but it would be surprising if she is turned over if she runs anywhere near her official rating. Tough Date outran market expectations when third at Southwell and could go close with another step forward, while Miss Mambo appears best of the remainder.
