CO-CHAIRS ROBIN AULT
Senior Principal / POPULOUS: Fentress Studios With over 30 years of experience, Ault began his career as a designer in the Denver architecture firm of Fentress Architects in 1995. Robin’s portfolio covers the full range of architecture, from large, highly complex airports to small, beautifullycrafted, single-family homes. Robin has led the designs of national and international competitions and been the lead project designer for several award winning buildings including the LEED Gold 50 Fifty office building in Denver, the LEED Platinum Humanities Gateway at the University of California Irvine and the LEED Gold stem cell research laboratory for the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine adjacent to the Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA. Named one of ENR’s ‘Top 20 under 40’ in 2012, Robin Ault is a visiting critic and student mentor to the University of Colorado, College of Architecture and Planning, a Design Review Board Member for the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority and is on the Design Review Board & Board of Directors for the Lowry Community Master Association.
KIMBERLY MAHNKEN
Senior Principal / POPULOUS: Fentress Studios With over three decades of experience, Kimberly brings a wealth of expertise to Fentress Studios, where she is a senior principal, particularly in technical design. Her background encompasses aviation, convention center, office, mixeduse, commercial, and retail design. Additionally, Kimberly’s experience in construction defect investigation and evaluation equips her with valuable insights on avoiding construction defect claims, ensuring that her projects are both beautiful and technically sound. As the Technical Design and QC lead for Fentress Studios, Kimberly believes that architecture is fundamentally about user experience and strives to create beautiful spaces that seamlessly integrate structural, infrastructural, and health and safety requirements, allowing the beauty of the design to shine through without the functional elements becoming intrusive.

Dan Bishop is currently a Senior Associate at Anderson Mason Dale Architects and has been with the firm since 2000. His focus is on the technical detailing side of projects. Key notable projects Dan has worked on are: Auraria Campus Science Building, Colorado College Cornerstone Arts Center, DIA Transit Center and Hotel, CSM Coorstek Center for Applied Science and engineering, US Olympic & Paralympic Museum, and the CSM Sophomore Residence Hall. Dan graduated from the University of Cincinnati.
MARLON BLACKWELL
Founding Partner / Marlon Blackwell Architects
Marlon Blackwell has practiced architecture in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for over thirty years and is the founding principal of Marlon Blackwell Architects. Until the conclusion of the 2024–2025 academic year, he served as the E. Fay Jones Distinguished Professor at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design at the University of Arkansas, where he taught for more than three decades and helped shape generations of architects through a rigorous, place-centered approach to design.

Matthew Breest conceptualizes and delivers complex projects in an efficient and streamlined manner. His first step in every project is to build a sturdy consensus between stakeholders. He champions organizations and teams to develop, discuss and exchange ideas so that every design solution addresses the specific needs of its community. Through the demands and complexities of every design process, Matthew guides his colleagues and clients with calm precision, ensuring that inspired developments are met with confidence.
URIAH BUELLER
Chief Creative Officer / Parasoleil
As a sculptor for public art, Uriah’s approach to applying pattern to the built environment has influenced hundreds of projects across the country for over 20 years. He is the founder of Parasoleil and continues to develop new product systems in partnership with architects and city planners.

MICHAEL FRICKE
Co-Owner / Horizon Glass
Michael serves as Vice President and co-owner of Horizon Glass, working across the business from preconstruction and project management to accounting and operations. He came to the trade from investment banking and private equity. Most of his time is spent in the space between design intent and what actually gets built, sitting with project teams during design-assist to work through system selection, thermal and air performance, and the implications of details before they’re locked in drawings. Recent work includes curtain wall and unitized facades on adaptive reuse projects, large-scale new construction, and high performance envelope upgrades across the region.
ERIK HARRIS
Principal / Goettsch Partners
Erik Harris is a technical principal at Goettsch Partners in Chicago. He has worked on a variety of large, complex projects and brings a high degree of specialized building knowledge. He works closely with the design and consultant team on each project to assure that a consistent, high-quality set of documentation is produced and that the project is delivered successfully through construction. Erik received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects as well as the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings.

US Sales Representative / Cascadia Windows
As a member of the Cascadia Windows & Doors sales team, Cameron has a background in commercial construction in the glazing industry. He routinely works with Cascadia clients to optimize their product configurations and specifications to maximize performance within project budgets utilizing Cascadia’s various product offerings. Prior to joining Cascadia, Cameron worked for a large commercial aluminum curtain wall and storefront manufacturer.
TJ HINZ
Project Lifecycle Manager / New Hudson Facades
TJ Hinz is a Project Lifecycle Manager at New Hudson Facades. Most of his time, the past seventeen years within curtainwall has been spent as the field project manager, most recently at the 1900 Lawrence project. Currently his role focuses on a holistic approach of project quality from design, unit assembly, field installation, and taking lessons learned and applying them back to design.

Jacob Hoffman joined Thornton Tomasetti’s structural engineering team in 2012 and is currently a Vice President in the Denver office. He brings strong technical abilities in the analysis design and detailing of structures and a firm grasp of steel and reinforced concrete construction. Notable projects Jacob has worked on include the Anythink Nature Library, Riverview at 1700 Platte Street, Rocky Mountain Public Media Center, Pearl Place, Timber 225, Cherry Creek West and Seraph.

Chad founded Shopworks Architecture in 2012, where he leads an architectural practice focused on redefining how housing and shelter is conceived, evaluated, and delivered. Over the past decade, his work has advanced Dignified Design—a researchinformed, human-centered framework that challenges conventional housing metrics by positioning dignity as an evidence-based design outcome. His leadership reframes high-performing, enduring buildings not as purely artful technical achievements, but as empirically grounded investments in human outcomes.

Hengchen is an architect with more than 11 years of experience specializing in the technical design and delivery of complex aviation projects. Branch Manager Maria MayoPeaseley has served Adams County’s community through customer service, programming, and management at Anythink Libraries since 2016. In addition to leading staff and operations at the Nature Library, she is dedicated to building community partnerships and sharing Anythink’s vision for the role of the public library as a space for environmental learning and kinship. Maria is aligned with the Nature Library’s vision to “Help People Find Their Place in Nature”, and bridges her love of the outdoors and its wonders with a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of public libraries.

Geremy Mendelson, CSI, CDT, is a building envelope specialist and Western Regional Manager for IMETCO. With more than 20 years of experience as an architectural representative in the construction industry, Geremy brings extensive hands-on knowledge from managing complex and challenging building envelope projects. A past president of the Los Angeles Chapter of CSI, he combines technical expertise, practical field experience, and a collaborative approach to help architects, contractors, and building owners develop high-performing building envelope solutions.

Susan Miiner’s is a management architect with over 20 years’ experience and $300 million dollars of capital projects. She has breadth and depth of expertise ranging from comprehensive owner’s representation services; responsible for budgeting, design, and construction implementation on massive multimillion-dollar redevelopment sites, to more direct design participation with sketching, stakeholder engagement, relocation coordination, interior finishes and furniture on smaller scale projects.

Lucia Alvarez Miyar, LEED Green Associate, is a building engineer and BIM Master graduate from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Dr. Brian White is the Sr. Technical Director for the Global Building Adhesive Solutions business unit at H.B. Fuller Company, responsible for driving product development and innovation in the Building Adhesives and Sealant Industry. Brian joined H.B. Fuller Company in 2010 as a Senior Scientist, building formulation and applications experience in the laboratory. He transitioned into technical leadership in 2015 and has enjoyed enabling teams and driving the link between business and technical strategy ever since.
