History launched The History of the Catholic Church was launched on Wednesday evening in the hall of the Coeval of Mercy, Victoria Square, that stands on bad Nest closely associated with the beginnings of the Church in WA. Sponsored by the Archdiocese of Perth, the history is nevertheless a chronicle of the Church throughout the State. Key figures in WA Catholic history are the Benedictine monks, famous for their foundation at New Norcia and later the mission at Kalumburu.
