Vandals again

at churches and schools Catholic church and school property are becoming increasingly the target of vandals. The latest incident occurred at Infant Jesus church, Morley, when a fire. deliberately lit in the sanctuary, burnt the carpet. a fabric wall hanging, and severely scorched a new jarrah altar as well as the crucifix on the wall behind the altar. The fire is believed to have been the work of a disturbed person and the Carmelite priests at Morley consider that the incident does not warrant closing the church permanently as has happened in other places. PARENTS CLEAN UP A week before, Queens Park school parents spent the weekend cleaning up two classrooms badly damaged by fire. So far the vandals have not been traced but a cleaner saw two youths
