Final Profession For the first

time in their 72-yeas hickory in W.A., Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart, have made their final religious profession in local churches. The profession ceremonies traditionally the congregation's mother house in North took place at Sydney.

Around Australia, in recent weeks 28 Sisters have made their final commitment. In WA., four Sisters pronounced vows before Sister Elizabeth Murphy. who last year became the first West Australian to be elected general superior. She is pictured below left with Sister Elizabeth Murphy. Sister Marie is the daughter of the late William and Ellen Moriarty of Capel and since her training has been at Manning, Southern Cross, Kalgoorlie, and this year mill be at Pemberton. All four Sisters entered the congregation in January. 1969.

After five years. which included their teacher training, they have been in various teaching appointments before choosing to make their final commitment.
