On the occasion of the silver jubilee of St. Francis Xavier's school at East Perth, a Moss was celebrated by the priest in charge, Rev. W. Foley, on Saturday last. His Lordship Bishop Rafferty assisted at the Mass and preached to the Sisters, children and parishioners present. Rev. T. Phelan, parish priest of Wembley Downs, a former priest in charge of East Perth, was present in the sanctuary. With His Lordship and Father W. Foley ore altar servers N. Papotto, E. Dudek, B. McCutcheon and A. Chemello.

Christian Brother For Cambridge: A recent visitor to Christian Brothers' College, St. George's Terrace was Rev.

Br. F. I. McCarthy of Victoria Parade College, Melbourne; he was on his way to the United Kingdom where he is to further his

studies at Cambridge University. Brother McCarthy has had remarkable success as a teacher of Matriculation English, Latin and French at Parade for over a decade,

also in an advisory capacity to Brothers prepating for work in English Literature and languages. While at Cambridge he will reside at Edmund Rice College, a short distance from the University itself. The College is maintained by the English province of the order as a centre for Brothers from Ireland, England, the United States and Australia who wish to take courses at the University. During his few days in Perth, Brother McCarthy found time to devote an afternoon to the Leaving class at C.B.C., an afternoon which was most appreciated by the boys on the eve of their final examination.

Pictured (right) is Rev. J. DYNON, S.J., Jesuit Mission Director, who returned to Perth on Monday last, showing the latest issue of the mission news sheet, "Hazaribagh," to the Very Rev. J. FARMER, S.J., Rector of St. Louis' College. Father Dynon has been visiting the Jesuit Missions in North India, which are conducted by Australian Jesuit Missionaries. There are 40 Australian Jesuits engaged on missionary work in the Hazaribagh and Palamua districts.

A Y.C.W. visitor to Perth this week is Mr. Bernard Docherty (pictured) of the National Executive of the Young Christian Workers.

He is on his way to Colombo where he will stay for two months and then to Madras (India) where he will work for two years on Y.C.W. extension work.

Educated at the Christian Brothers' schools of St. George's Carlton and St. Joseph's, North Melbourne, Mr. Docherty worked as a grocer before joining the Y.C.W. full time workers. has been in Y.C.W. work for nine years, the last five of which have been on the Melbourne Executive. For a while Mr. Docherty will be working with M. Rene Delecluse, International Extension worker of the Y.C.W. who was recently in Perth. He
