Favero, O.M.I., visiting Italian missioner from Italy. His Lordship Bishop Rafferty addressed the congregation after the Mass. The music of the Mass was sung by an Italian choir. At the conclusion of the blessing ceremony it took one hour for the large congregation to file past the statues enthroned in St. Patrick's Church and for Solemn Benediction celebrated by the Father Provincial and assisted by Rev. M. Maslovar and 'Rev. V. de P. Siebert, O.M.I.

It was estimated that over 500 people took part in the procession and that it was watched by a throng of 20,000.
