Wedding Jubilee Oct. 3 was a happy anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lanigan of New Norcia and their family and their many friends. For exactly 25 years previously at the Sacred Heart Church, Highgate Hill, the late Fr. Crawley had celebated the Nuptial Mass and had blessed their marriage ceremony. On October 3, at their home, South View, New Norcia, a most representative gathering of friends had assembled including His Lordship, the Rt. Rev.

As we go to press the sad tidings of the death of the Holy Father have been announced. The Catholics of the Archdiocese

will join their confreres throughout the world in praying for the repose of the soul of the great Pontiff.

A commemorative issue of "The Record" will be published next week. Details of the solemn obsequies at St. Mary's Cathedral will be announced later in the daily Press.
