Italian Girls

Corrigin Church Is Second Coming Here To To Open In Parish In Week Solve Problem

One of the major problems of migration has been the lack of women for the different national groups. Some dissatisfaction has been caused among men who have no opportunity of marrying girls of their own race. In an effort to solve this problem. the Catholic Migration Committee in association with the Federal authorities, is bringing out a group of 100 Italian girls. These girls will arrive at Fremantle on March 20 and will be available for domestic employment or work in hospitals. Persons wishing to avail themselves of their services should contact the Catholic and Migration office at BA3338.

Within the course of a week two churches were blessed * opened in the parish of Quairading. The new church at Tammin was dedicated by Bishop Rafferty on March 4 and the Church of Westralian Is St. Therese at Corrigin was officially blessed and opened by His Ordained As Grace the Archbishop on Sunday last.
