Mother Ignatius Closes A Life of Achievements
At the presentation in the Senate room were Professor Bayliss, acting vice-chancellor; Professor Underwood, chairman of the professorial board; the Rt. Rev. Mgr. J. T. McMahon, member; Mr. L. Downer, senior lecturer in law (owing to the illness of Professor Beasley, Dean of the faculty); Dr. C. Sanders, registrar; and Mr. A. J. Williams, assistant registrar. Speaking on behalf of the professor of law, Mr. Downer said that the volumes would contribute to the research school of law. So far as he knew, theirs was the only University library to possess such a valuable reference.
