There is so much confusion on the subject of Communism, and there are so many who fail to understand the real nature of the thing, that we must be tireless in revealing it in its true colours. It is the avowed enemy of God. It stands for Materialism (that is to say, the belief that the universe and all life is just an "accident and that it is not designed for any purpose and that death ends everything.) There isno philosophy more drab, more full of despair. Communism attacks the Christian concept of marriage and the family. But it is not for these reasons alone that the Church opposes Comm-
