Fremantle's Catholic Entertainment Centre for Servicemen . One of the Best -Known Canteens in the State It is now sixteen months since the Oblate Fathers at Fremantle placed their Parish Hall at the disposal of the C.W.O. for the entertainment of Allied Servicemen and Merchant Seamen. It has been a most popular venture and is probably the best known Canteen among the Catholics of W.A. The week's activities begin on Sunday morning with refreshments after the three Masses. Coffee or tea. sandwiches, biscuits and fruit disappear rapidly between three hundred men. A three -course hot dinner at one o'clock, afternoon tea, and a high tea at six, ensures that Sunday, besides being a day of rest for the boys, is also a day for el.! inner man.
