Already, thePropagationoftheFaith hasitsmonumentsthroughoutthe country, inthetinychurches, the smallschoolsthathavebeenerected throughitshelp, andthethrivingAboriginalMissionsthesuccessofwhich wouldhavebeenimpossiblewithout thefundsofthePropagationofthe Faith.
Itmayseemthatthesuccessofthe PropagationoftheFaithduring1942 wasduetothegreateramountof moneythatwasincirculation:but thatdoesnotprovideanexplanation. Inthefirstplace,thefinancialconditionsofmembershiparethesameas theywerebeforethewar-theindividualisaskedtocontributenomore. Inthesecondplace,thePropagation oftheFaith,in1942,receivedprobablylessfromcollectionsanddonations thanitdidtenyearsago.Thewhole oftheincrease,andthevastbulkof thefinancialreturnscomesfromindividualsubscription.TheonlyexplanationliesinthezealoftheDiocesanDirectors,thegenerousleadershipoftheBishops,themissionspirit thathasgrownsostrongamongthe clergy,andthepainstakingandunselfishworkofthepromotersamongthe people.Underthestressofwar,the PropagationoftheFaithinAustralia hasbuiltitselfintoanorganisation ofwhichAustralia'sCatholicsmay wellfeelproud.
