The hall was packed with the students of the College and the residents of the surrounding district, many of whom had come a great distance to be present at the concert. Among the audience were the Lord Abbot of New Norcia. Rev. Prior Rios. Rev. Fathers Ubach, Alcalde. Urban°, William, Boniface, and several students from the Benedictine Monostery, Brother -Louis and his native boys. About 30 students from St. Gertrude's College were also presentAmongst the resdent present were Mr. and Mrs. C. K. David' son (late owner of "Glenhomie"), Mr. Edgar (present owner), Mr. and Mrs. McMahon Clune, Mr. J. J. Clune. br. Hennessy, Mrs. Benporath, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Lanig-i, Mr. and Mrs. Davies and Mr. G. Davies (Mogumber), A. Lanigan, and Mr. J. Murphy. The entertainment proved to be an enjoyable one, and was greatly appreciated by the large audience present. Great praise is due to Mr. C. R. Donald, L.A.B., musical director of the College, for the great improvement he has brought about in the work of his young pupils. He himself has a fine voice. and knows how to teach singing scientifically, having been a pupil of the brilliant musician, Mr. Fraser. of Victoria. Master Gorman showed his skill in his rendition of the humorous recitation, "A Visit to Rubenstein's Piano-Playing." He showed he had possessed a great memory, and his effort was greatly applauded and caused much amusement. Undoubtedly the best item of the evening was Rossini's (vocal trio for male voices) "Faith," which was rendered by Rev. Fathers Rios. William. Boniface, Urbano, and two students of the Benedictine Monastery. Those who know New Norcia can readily form some idea of the excellence if the singing, when they recall what il ey have heard in the Cathedral. Each character, in suitable Elliott. dress, carried out their part in a manner which surprised the audience, who will be pleased to see them again. Vocal duet. "Is there any room in Heaven?" Misses D. and L. Collins. This item quite favourites with the audience, and core demanded. These two sisters are Pianoforte solo, "Sildeservedly so. ver Sleigh Bells," Miss N. Bowls, Pole Drill, Senior Girls. Very well carried out and enjoyed, bringing forth a repeat. Recitation, "The Nigger's Adventure." junior boys. This caused much merriment, and was well done, and brought forth an encore. Finale, "Adeste Fidelis," pupils. A fitting finish to a most enjoyable evening.

Father Lynch himself is happy at the prospect of a new House of God in May lands, where he has ministered for upwards of twelve years. It is everyone's wish that he will be spared in his consistent, vigorous activities to carry on and bring to a successful conclusion the work that he and the parishioners work the have happily entered upon consummation of which will be a reward for the surmounting of vicissitudes and anxiety which is the lot of every persevering parish priest.
