Cardinal Trujillo, family expert, dies at 72 ■ By Catholic News Service
ROME (CNS) - Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, died on April 19 at Rome’s Pius XI clinic, where he had been hospitalized since early April with a respiratory infection. He was 72. Pope Benedict XVI called the cardinal a “tireless pastor” who generously served the church and “the Gospel of life.” The Pope, Continued - Page 2
