International educators: Luke and Vannessa Van Beek, a Kalamunda couple, became the first to offer the popular PHOTO COURTESsr LUKE AND VANNESSA VAN BEEK Celebrate Love seminar in the UK most recently in April.

Australian-developed course has been spreading in UK since 2006 The Celebrate Love seminar based on the Theology of the Body has been a smash hit in the United Kingdom since it was introduced by a young West Australian parish couple in May last year. Luke and Vannessa Van Beek of Kalamunda parish flew to London to facilitate London's third Celebrate Love seminar last month, and reported a surge in interst in the late Pope's teachings by English couples.

"This was a great opportunity to help the Westminster diocese run their own seminar," Luke said, after both he and Vannessa coached and mentored the London team. Twenty couples from the Westminster diocese attended the weekend held at St Benedict's Abbey in Ealing. "We were able to share with the London team what we have been doing in Perth and throughout Australia," Luke said. Vannessa said that just the idea of being part of a mission and spreading the good news about marriage was rewarding for them. There was much interest in this

seminar from not only married couples but also London's priests and Bishops. Couples in London were particularly interested in the spirituality of Marriage, which examines the spiritual dimension of a couple's relationship as a man and woman in love. Drawing on the insights of John Paul II's Theology of the Body, it explores the sacred nature of our marital intimacy and gives practical, achievable ways to grow closer together, and so make the Celebrate Love experience part of an ongoing renewal of their relationship.
