Good attendances were maintained during the evening and throughout Friday. with a total of about 700 people attending Mass at 7am. 12.05pm and 5.30pm. He estimated total attendance was about 2000. A further 800 to 1000 attended when the relics moved to the Carmelite Monastery at Gelorup, with the church's capac-

Archbishop presents youth with 'papal' gift

The two students are Chris Harrison, 17, of Hillman, and Kerryn Smith, 16, of Port Kennedy, who are respectively President and Secretary of the School Council. Both have attended Kolbe Wigs since Year 8.

rchbishop Barry Hickey has published a new book for youth and has given a copy to every Year 12 student in the Catholic schools of the archdiocese. Entitled "Pope John Paul II Speaks to youth", the hook is an encapsulation of many of the Pope's addresses to the youth of the world between 1985 and Jubilee Year 2000.

Archbishop Hickey visited Kolbe College in Rockingham on lliesday last week to make the first presentation of the books to Year 12 students. He has offered to make himself available to all schools for similar presentations or to discuss the messages with students after they have read the book. Continued page 2
