Work starts on charity home
Work has begun on the charity home being built for the Catholic Care for the Intellectually Handicapped Persons at Glasnevin Court, Waterford. The concrete slab for the foundations was laid two weeks ago and brick work is now under way. There has been a good response from the building industry to appeals for donations but Mr Bert Dolin, chairman of the CCIH committee organising the charity home said this week he hoped more donations would be received. Letters and posters had been sent to parishes throughout the Perth Diocese outlining the charity home project and asking for support from parishioners.
