This was the message this week of the renowned Washington professor of canon law Father Ladislaw Orsy SJ to 90 people attending the first ever national conference of the Canon Law Society of Australia and New Zealand to be helS in WA. After Vatican II, Father Orsy said, the Church achieved a new understanding of itself, a new type of relationship with other Christian churches and a new attitude to the world at large.
