'LOSING' POVERTY R SYDNEY: Whether we are winning the war against poverty or not, depends on what we mean by winning and how we see Australian Catholic Relief, according to ACR chairman, Bishop John Gerry of Brisbane. ing against their gaoled co-workers. In the case of Father Dangan, Judge Legaspi said the prosecution had insufficient evidence on which to implicate the priest in the alleged murder of Mayor Sofa. On April 30 the defence made a special plea to the judge to dismiss all charges because of the strength of their case and the patent falsehood of prosecution evidence. The judge ordered the case to go on.
