The ordination of Father William Holmes in St Patrick's Cathedral last Sunday was a day of celebration also for his wife Marjorie and son Philip (pictured below). Bishop Quinn who performed t he ceremony (right) said permission for this ordination was given by the pope only because Father Holmes had once served in the Anglican ministry. There have been four o ther such ordinations in Australia. Father Holmes will live in Bunbury and will be attached to t he staff of St Patrick's Cathedral on special duties.
