Lawyers determined to find 'fabricators':

Father Gore said this week that even if a deal is made to have murder charges against him withdrawn, defence lawyers are determined to hunt the people telling lies and e xpose those who fabricated the case.

Father Gore described last week's hearing during which Father O'Brien's answers were straight to the point. He resisted confusion to the point that the prosecution lawyer became confused. When the defence suggested the prosecution was deliberately wasting time, the lawyer threw his papers and challenged the defence to a fight outside the court. When the judge restored order the prosecutor told the judge that even if he were cited for contempt he would not go ahead with the case. A fter conferring with him in chambers the judge warned the prosecutor to apologise to the court or face a more serious reprimand. It was then that the long adjournment was agreed to. Father Gore believes the prosecutor ha, too much at stake to continue in this manner and the way may he opened to introduce a new prosecutor who will make it easier for the murder charge to he withdrawn. *Continued page 3
