Sharon Quinn was one of the last to leave the Clontarf Fair last Sunday and she was lucky to be on hand to hear that she had won the magnificent doll's house raffled by the Manning Lions Club. It was also a happy occasion for her father, Michael Quinn (below) because he was a pupil at Clontari 35 years ago.

Cardinal Sir James Freeman
undoubtedly the summit will offer a chance for our leaders to put aside personal and sectional interests to tackle the country's basic ills, like unemployment and poverty, before they worsen. "On the other hand, if the summit fails, it will only deepen present dangerous divisions and perpetuate the evils already
sections of our community. "It is some months since I first advocated something of the nature of what Mr Hawke now proposes. "Since then I have reiterated Australia needs leadership in sound thinking, sound planning and sound action. " Australia must
achieve that essential national unity only generated if governments, trade unions, employers and welfare organisations, with spirited public backing, put Australia first and endeavour, jointly, to set it on the road to recovery. "The success of the summit is worth praying for", the cardinal said. ardinal Freeman nishes his term as Archihishop of Sydney on April 27.
