Project Compassion, the
major drive for funds for Australian Catholic Relief has closed for 1977 with the end of Lent. Some 32,000 boxes were distributed to the parishes of the archdiocese.

The mammoth task now starts of collecting the boxes and forwarding the funds, some of which have already been earmarked for projects and the rest will be spent within the current year. Parishes are asked to remit money as soon as possible to the Church Office; a list will appear in The Record in mid-May. (See also Page 5).
