UGGERIDGE'S WAY AND AUGUSTINE'S
Any identification of Christianity with wowserism is surely a contradiction and misrepresents Christ, according to Bishop Quinn. The bishop said this when he was the first of four speakers to support the Premier, Sir Charles Court, in welcoming Mr. Malcolm Muggeridge to Western Australia before 8,000 people at the Festival of Light rally on the W.A.C.A. ground last Sunday afternoon. This was the proof that Christians had to offer the world of the validity of the message of Jesus Christ — that it was an enriching and joyful experience, he added.

"I notice that some of your interviewers are not so subtle in suggesting that having lived it up and sown your wild oats. now you will convert u4," Bishop Quinn said, addressing Mr. Muggeridge. "You're in good company; Saint Augustine did the same thing. "It depends on how you interpret a development and growth in appreciation of values. "Augustine and Malcolm Muggeridge can move close in a discovery from a way of life in which Mr. ,Muggeridge was not committed to a Christian way of life, to the point where he discovered there was something in life he had missed out on. "Obviously, from some of the interviews held with you, you confuse some of our reporters. "It seems they cannot understand that light is
possible and joyful without abortion, pre-marital sex and everything that goes with it. "But it is good to see that you can smile.
LESSON FROM OTHERS "I think we could be very foolish people if we ignored the experiences of others. "On the other hand. I do not want to wallow in diarrhoea or cholera sot that L can appreciate good health. "I can learn about good health through the experience of others who( can tell me about good health and encourage me to participate in it. "Thank you Mr. Mug./ geridge for teaching us to do this in this country, during your visit." /
