PARIS.— At a Press conference, Cardinal Francois Marty, Archbishop of Paris, commenting on the recent pronouncement of sexual ethics, pointed out the "scandalously aggressive nature" of reactions in certain sections of the Press. He regretted that some journalists had given the document disproportionately extensive coverage, given the fact that they tended "to place an embargo on God and Jesus Christ" — -when the Church does speak on such matters as these "a certain censorship seems to make certain that we preach in the desert." The cardinal added that he did not attack the text; he simply did not attach primary importance to it and had other sources to tap. "The decline of morals is undeniable," he said, "but • —MEI • on the other hand, usage does not create morality. "I look forward to being able to discuss the positive aspects of this document, and to speak of the way of love.
