West Australian born Jesuit Father Gerald Brennan, who was ordained recently to the priesthood, last Sunday celebrated Mass for the community in his home parish of Maddington. • He is pictured above, left, with Mr. Tom Grogan, president of the Maddington Parish Council, who welcomed Father Brennan to the parish. Father Brennan received his early education from the Sisters of Mercy and later at St. Louis School. He has been a member of the Society of Jesus for 14. years. He is the eldest of the seven children of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Brennan, of Maddington. Father Brennan is one of three Jesuits ordained this year, the others being Father Desmond Dwyer, of Warrnambool and Father Adrian, of Brighton IVictoria). . Father Brennan was ordained at the hands of Bishop Quinn in the St. John of God Chapel Subiaco, on Friday, December 13 and the following day celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament church, Gosnells.
